When the doctor gave her the news of her pregnancy, the young woman felt a strong throbbing in her heart and could not decipher what she felt at the time. He wondered if it was that he felt fear, for what that implied, since he could not understand the reason of how a news, that should have caused him happiness, he had only felt a slight displeasure, like a presentiment. And she pretended joy when she notified her husband, who welcomed the news, but without much hubbub.

The pregnancy passed normally, until the moment of birth arrived. The delivery went on normally, until finally they delivered her baby in her arms, she smiled and cradled him with love, and although she had been with some expectation, she realized that her baby was beautiful, with beautiful eyes blue, and he looked healthy. He could only notice that the baby's gaze seemed not to notice her, but only when feeding him with his breast, that was strange, but he thought it was natural.

Months went by and they noticed that the baby was crying very frequently and they feared that he might feel some pain, but when he took him to the doctor, he notified him that this was not the case, that everything was fine. But things did not change, and only managed to keep him calm, when he was fed or played soft instrumental music. Thus a year passed. And exhausted, they began to notice that something was wrong, with their little son, because besides everything it was very rare to see him smile, he always seemed not to be present, with certain exceptions. It was when they decided to take him to a specialist.

When the specialist gave them the diagnosis, they both felt as if something was crumbling inside them, and asked in alarm, Autism? The doctor's response was corroborated again. They felt fear, and a heartbreaking pain, because thousands of questions passed through their minds ... And they looked into each other's eyes without speaking, although they mentally knew the questions: What shall we do now? How can we help our child? Can you have a normal life? And with her eyes about to burst into tears, the mother's lips parted, just to ask the doctor what can we do?

The doctor replied that in addition to certain protocols that they should follow regarding their feeding, he also mentioned that the treatment with dolphins had achieved excellent results in this regard and notified them that he knew of a place where they worked with dolphins to treat this type of alteration. in children and adults. Then he gave them a piece of paper with the address of this place. The couple, neither short nor lazy, went to the recommended place as quickly as they could.

It was there that the couple and their little son met "Sirius", a beautiful blue-gray dolphin, who happily swam in a large pool, which had contact with the marine waters, which entered and left the large pool, with fluidity . "Sirius" did not seem to mind being in captivity, he seemed to be satisfied with the great work he was doing. When the little boy looked at "Sirius" who was jumping happily in front of him, inside the big pool, it was the first time they saw him smile, moreover they heard him laugh out loud with joy.

The eyes of the couple filled with tears, but tears of joy because the little one had looked them in their eyes as if expressing their joy, and saying without speaking, I'm here! I love you! From that time "Sirius" became his great friend, who was taken to visit regularly, and the little one began to have many advances in his behavior. Now, he seemed to remember the friendly dolphin and was smiling, and not only was he smiling when they were shown pictures and photos of "Sirius" but he was also looking and smiling with his parents.

The little one began to improve more and more and to be present, diminishing those moments of absence that worried his parents so much. As for "Sirio", he continued doing his beautiful job helping human beings and they continued visiting him with his son who is already a young man, who currently attends a special school and in addition to "Sirio" also has classmates of his age.

And this was the story of the beautiful dolphin "Sirius" and the little boy.

I hope you liked it.

Because dolphins do a beautiful job of helping humans affected with this behavior disorder like Autism, that is why I love them and they are my favorite marine species.

¿Cómo podremos ayudar a nuestro hijo?

I believe that more and more, people are starting to see the benefits in animal interactions for mental health. I love to see when they use animals in elderly care to help raise their spirits and give them a renewed interest in life.

I so agree with you. My 84 year old mother has just refused to get a cat in her retirement village cos she is afraid it will outlive her and be alone. She is depressed and I KNOW having a cat curled up on her lap would help so much with feelings of disconnect and loneliness during Covid quarantine.

I'm sure it would. A cat wild be a good choice too, if she's worried about it out living her. They're very adaptable. Perhaps she could make arrangements early on for when it needs move on.

Thank you very much, @misterengagement, for reading my post.

It's true @artemislives, every living being on this planet is fulfilling a mission here, and many of them help fill the loneliness of many human beings. And this is just one of the many things they assist humanity with and the only thing they ask for change is love.

Thanks @minismallholding, for taking a moment to read my post. Regarding what you tell me, I definitely think, in truth, that nothing is by chance, they are here to fulfill a mission of love on the planet, and most likely it is to accompany and help human beings. There is too much evidence for this, which confirms that.

It is really an astonishing therapy somehow. I like the way it was treated. All countries may not have the opportunity to implement this kinda treatment. But, it still a gateway to think alternative. Prolly, animals would somehow be the best resources to treat the mentally handicapped people. Thanks for this awesome post.

First thank you very much for reading my post,@msa11
If it is true, perhaps in some countries, it is not possible to apply this type of therapy specifically with dolphins, but I think, above all, it is the lack of knowledge about the ways to apply it, for example, today there is the possibility of reproduce the sound of dolphins and apply it to people with certain emotional and health limitations and the effect is also quite effective, and this is just to name one of the methods of application of these therapies, because there are also other effective ways.

I really loved the way in your story how you highlighted that the dolphin was consciously accepting its confinement to be of greater service. I'm not a fan of caged animals, nor of swimming with dolphins after learning more of how that damages their ability to feed and swim wild, but you made this point so very well.

Thanks for your words @artemislives, I'm not really a fan of caging animals either. But, regarding dolphins, looking at how they can help many human beings with certain emotional and health problems, even when it comes to degenerative diseases, I realize that every being that exists on this planet comes with a mission to fulfill and I think this is no coincidence. On the other hand, there are many other ways to apply these therapies without necessarily being in captivity. Even just listening to the sound that they emit and that can be recorded, is of a high vibration and can also produce very beneficial effects, in humans with certain mental, emotional and physical conditions. And this is just another one, of the methods of application of these therapies.

Thank you for sharing this beautiful story, I strongly believe that animals bring us great healing, and that healing is made two fold when we treat them with respect. I only wish that the Dolphin was free to come and that he really did have a choice, we have this tendency to think we have the right to control their lives even when they enrich our own. xxx

@trucklife-family ,First of all, I appreciate your support of my posts. About what you say, I understand your point of view, what you say is true. Personally, I have never liked keeping animals in captivity simply by watching them closely or taking advantage of them. But when I look at the great work that dolphins do with autistic children, I think part of their mission on this planet is that, and I think they really are aware of their beautiful mission. Because in many opportunities they are the ones who get closer to human beings. There is reliable data that they have helped people at risk of drowning, therefore, I believe that they are here on the planet to fulfill a mission of loving help towards human beings.
